Most frequent Tree & Stump removal questions and answers

You can expect from beginning to end tp pay around $100 to $250 per hour depending on the size and type of access to your stump. Another factor to consider is the condition of the stump. Eg: If it is rotten it will take less time to demolish as compared to a solid fresh Ironbark Gumtree. Is it a softwood or hardwood? The cost of removing your tree depends on many varying factors hence the reason why it’s better to get the advice from a professional first when planning any type of tree or stump removal. Tree factors include:

  1. Accessibility
  2. Species
  3. Height
  4. Condition 

Based on industry average pricing we can categorise cost estimates into 3 Tree groups:

  • Small (up to 10 metres/30ft) $250 to $3500
  • Medium (10 to 20 metres/60ft) $450 to $5500
  • Large (Above 20 metres/60ft): $1000 to $20,000 depending on-site location, electricity shutdown, road closures or cranes.
It is highly advisable to check with your local government body for any permits that you may require. Most councils have different zoning laws and also State level. Canberra Tree Removal Men can advise you on any permits required to satisfy your local council.
